How to Become a Rescue Diver
The course reiterates and expands on self-rescue skills that you’ve learned from previous Padi courses and also prepares and teaches you as a diver how to locate missing divers and deal in water with an unresponsive diver with Primary-care and also secondary care. The Padi rescue diver course is a rewarding, challenging, and very popular course amongst divers.
AT THE DIVE SHOP IN PHUKET
DAY ONE
After we collect you from your hotel we start the swimming pool rescue diver sessions followed by a small theory test. Here you will learn to help yourself and others whilst scuba diving and on the surface. The day normally finishes around 5 pm when we return you back to your hotel.

Koh Racha Yai + Koh Racha Noi Island
DAY TWO
You will be transferred from your hotel to the day trip boat with your scuba instructor and sail to Koh Racha Yai and Koh Racha Noi Islands. Breakfast will be served on the hour journey to the islands, where you will conduct three dives per day. There is a mixture of above and below the surface rescue scenarios practised during the day.

When you click the book now button, you will be asked for some details and forwarded to a payment page for 2,000 Thailand Baht per person deposit.
Once your deposit is received, we do a final confirmation so you can have fun packing, knowing that your trip is secured.
What about the final balance? Easy! The final balance can either be paid in the dive shop with cash or credit card (click for location) or on the boat in cash.

Course prerequisites:
To participate and be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver, the student must hold a PADI (or another qualifying) Advanced Open Water Diver certification. Certification also requires CPR and first aid training within the past 24 months. If you don’t have this training, you can enrol in an Emergency First Response course.
Minimum age: 12 years:
For ages 12 – 14, they will gain the Junior PADI Rescue Diver certification, Junior Rescue Divers automatically become Rescue Divers at 15 years old.
If you are booking two or more people in your group, we will arrange a scuba diving instructor just for your group at no extra cost.
If you are a solo traveller and would like a personal instructor for the course, there is a small charge of 4,000 THB. Otherwise, we will arrange for you to be in a group of other solo travellers.
Group size never exceeds 4:1 so you can be sure the instructor will be able to give each person focused attention.
Scuba diving requires a minimum level of health and fitness. Anyone, regardless of age, with shortness of breath, blurred vision, or any form of chest pain may need to reconsider diving. Avoid disappointment, download and review the Diver Medical form to ensure you won’t need a physician’s approval to dive before enrolling in a scuba course.
We expect no issues but in the unlikely event of injury, it only makes sense to be prepared. Check your current travel insurance covers you for scuba diving activities. Be sure to contact them directly to make sure. If they do not then we recommend DAN Scuba Diving Insurance.
While we may not be able to accommodate every requirement please let us know in advance and we’ll make every effort to ensure there is food available for you. In addition, we can help you store your own food on the trip if necessary.
Absolutely! While some places use amateurs or fresh out of school dive guides, we use local experienced experts. Our concern for your safety is paramount and we take pride in our staff’s experience and professionalism.
As a certified Rescue Diver (18 years or older), you can enrol in the PADI Divemaster course. Upon completion, you can work anywhere in the world there’s water.
The first day you should be back to your hotel between 17.00 – 18.00
Depending on where you are going for the second day will depend on your retrun time to your hotel. These times are as a guide as they can change due to weather conditions and currents.
Racha Islands:
Arrive at Chalong Pier: 17.00 – 17.30
Arrive at Patong: 18.00 – 18.30
Phi Phi Islands:
Arrive at Chalong Pier: 19.00 – 19.30
Arrive at Patong: 20.00 – 20.30
